Hanukkah blessings bear a religious significance for the Jews. Here, we have listed the blessings for Chanukah, along with their meanings.

Hanukkah Blessings

Hanukkah is the eight-day Jewish festival that starts on the 25th day of Kislev (as per the Jewish calendar). It usually falls between late November and late December. On this day, prayers, featuring three blessings, are offered before the candles, on the special candelabrum (called as Menorah), which are lit on each night of the festival. All the members of a Jewish family together chant Chanukah blessings, before lighting the candles, to mark the celebrations of the Festival of Lights. On the first night of the festival, they recite all the three blessings and on the following days, only the first two blessings are recited. In this article, we have given you the three blessings for Hanukkah, along with their and meanings.
